ESSENTIAL OILS 101
Humans have been using essential oils for thousand of years. It is one of the most joyful ways to incorporate wellness into your daily routine.
Essential oils are concentrated plant extracts that have proven to provide health benefits. High quality essential oils (like ours) are so concentrated you will only need a small amount per use and if stored well, will last you a long time.
So how do they work?
Essential oils are made up of small molecules, that are able to pass through the body’s blood brain barrier.
Our sense of smell is connected directly to our limbic system, which plays an essential role in mood and memories.
How To Use Essential Oils
There are 4 main ways to use essential oils for your body’s health.
1- Inhalation
2- Diffused or sprayed into the air
3- Topically applied to the skin
4- Facial steams
5- Compresses
6- Baths
How to use essential oils Topically
Very carefully. Due to the potency of essential oils you need to be careful specially when using it for the first time to test your skin's reaction to them.
It is usually recommended that you dilute the pure essential oil in a carrier oil before applying to your skin. Typical dilutions are one drop of essential oil to 3 or 4 drops of carrier oil (depends on where you get your oils from). For children, diluting it even further is usually advised.

- Coconut Oil
- Almond Oil
- Sesame Oil
- Hemp Seed Oil
- Jojoba Oil
Is It Safe To Use Essential Oils Every Day?
For most people, it’s fine to use essential oils every day. In fact, some essential oils companies actually recommend using oils every day to get the maximum health benefits from your oils!
