HOW TO HACK HAPPINESS CHEMICALS
You know that "I woke up on the wrong side of bed" feeling? The one that makes us give up on the day?
How about refusing to surrender to that feeling? You know, when you try to force yourself to get what needs to be done even when you're feeling awful?
Well there is a way out!
Our brain, that magnificent muscle, can be manipulated negatively and positively.
Just like a situation or a conversation can trigger you and make you feel anxious/angry/sad/lonely, it is also possible to reignite happiness at the moment, by doing simple things that help our body secret "happiness hormones".
There are 4 main happiness hormones/chemicals that our brain signals our body to secrete.
Endorphins, the chemical that helps ease both emotional and physical pain.
Serotonin, that is in charge of stabilising and uplifting your mood.
Oxytocin, the chemical that makes us feel loved.
Dopamine, the chemical that makes us feel productive and successful.
Now on the days that life just goes wrong, or if you are a warrior stuck in a toxic environment, these chemicals may be hard to achieve on their own. And because our happiness is our responsibility, thankfully there are ways to trick our brain and body.
Try them out the next time you're not feeling too happy.
